About Elizabeth
Here’s what you need to know about Elizabeth:
- Elizabeth is an SAT & ACT preparation expert living in New York City who also helps students develop college application materials.
- She has worked with students from all over North America, as well as few from Europe and South America.
- She is the author of OUTSMARTING THE SAT, a book that’s about as close to a transcript of her SAT prep tutoring sessions as you can get.
- Elizabeth is fun, enthusiastic, and loathes giving homework; busy work is next to death.
- She has successfully led students to score gains of well over 100 points on every section of the SAT and has helped others move from the 50th to the 96th percentile on the ACT.
- A bit of a masochist, she still takes the SAT every year—and still knocks it out of the ballpark.
- Her friends sometimes call her “The Grammar-‘gician.” In fact, she has prepared sample SAT Writing section questions for a major test prep company’s international materials.
- Elizabeth’s NFP of choice is Let’s Get Ready, Inc., and she’s currently serving as an advisor while they revamp their coach and student training manuals.
- Elizabeth has worked with some the most prestigious educational consultants in the U.S. and her first job was under the guidance of Judi Robinovitz, one of the original core contributors to the College Board’s own SAT prep material.
- A graduate of Mount Holyoke College, Elizabeth holds an interdisciplinary major that incorporates Economics, Mathematics, Art History, and Studio Art.
- Albeit admittedly taking her time to complete the coursework, Elizabeth is a candidate in the UCLA Extension’s Graduate Certificate in College Counseling program.
Extras:
- Elizabeth was a proud recipient of a Mount Holyoke College Class of 1905 Alumnae Fellowship and a Mount Holyoke College Bardwell Fellowship.
- She’s a blossoming cook and maintains that Alton Brown’s book “I’m Just Here For the Food” changed her life.
